18th December 2025 We are reminding residents to remain vigilant following reports of burglaries across the Adur and Worthing area. Offenders often target homes where valuable items such as jewellery, watches and cash are easily accessible. Taking a few simple precautions can significantly reduce the risk of becoming a victim. 🔐 Protect your jewellery and valuables Store high-value jewellery and watches in a properly secured safe, ideally one that is fixed to the floor or wallAvoid leaving jewellery on display, including near windows or in bedroomsKeep an up-to-date record of valuable items (photos, serial numbers, hallmarks) to assist identification if stolen🏠 General crime prevention advice Always lock doors and windows, even when you’re at homeUse timers on lights to make your home look occupiedEnsure side gates and sheds are lockedConsider doorbell cameras, alarms or CCTV where possibleBe mindful of who you share information with on social media, especially about holidays or expensive purchases👀 See something suspicious?
