Incident last night

Good morning all,

I just wanted to address and reassure you about an ongoing incident in the Brynithel area last night where people may have seen a heavy police presence.

This was an isolated incident not involving members of the public and one person is currently in custody, thanks to great work by Blaenau Gwent response officers.

Police may be seen in the area still, these are just ongoing enquiries as part of a case so please don't be alarmed.
