Countdown to Christmas: Oldington, Foley and Sutton Park SNT keeping an eye on the Vulnerable |
||||||
A round up of my working “week”. I have been involved in some Modern Day Slavery training. This happens more often then you may think and can happen in all areas and communities around the country. If you have concerns about people in a domestic situation or groups of people involved in organised crime, please let the police know. West Mercia police are trained to see the signs and will be looking out to support all the vulnerable in the area. If you have any questions please let me know.
The Oldington, Foley and Sutton Park SNT team have been out supporting multiple vulnerable people in our area. With myself and my colleagues doing house visits, offering support and advice. Some of this is support comes after crime and also help and advice with unwanted visitors.
If you would like some advice or stickers like this for yourself, as a reminder, or a family member please get in touch. I have been completing more surveys in the area and met some lovely people. I have been able to listen to concerns of people I don’t get to normally meet. These have been noted and we have beem looking at what we can do. Some of the concerns were; people in the area possibly under the influence of drugs and speed of vehicles. We listen to your concerns and do what we can, so please let us know. You may see me doing more surveys in areas near you.
I have also been fighting crime searching for criminals and delivering Community Resolutions. With two Community resolutions being given out. They are great things, they can make offenders of crime who admit the offence attend some educational course (usually at a cost to the offender). This aims to educate, to prevent further crime on the same victim and others in the future. It looks at the causes of offending. This is looking at the future with protection in mind other then criminal convictions that are past focused. Community resolutions can only be given in certain circumstances and aren’t always appropriate. Please contact if you have any questions. I have helped out Stourport SNT today with a warrant and again with their great work, another brilliant job. These jobs take a lot of time to organise and get right. Drugs have been found and taken off the street. This is an ongoing investigation.

We had a reply last week asking about some of the posters I used in the neighbourhood matters post. I was able to get in touch and provide some of these to her.
This is my penultimate message before Christmas. I hope everyone is well and ready for the festivities. But remember police will be on duty over festive period and here to help if you need us. Never suffer in silence.
I will be back on duty on Monday 22nd December 2025, but will leave you with the Fact for the day:
This date in 1989 – was the Premiere of The Simpsons (full length episodes) The North Pole really has a police department! (now thinking about a transfer) | ||||||
