Man charged after knife seized

A man has been charged after a knife was seized in Stoke-on-Trent. 

Raja Farooq, 49, of no fixed address, has been charged with possessing a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place. 

It comes after officers on #problemsolvingpolicing patrols in Hanley on Monday (15 December) searched a man. 

Farooq has been released on bail ahead of a hearing at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Tuesday 6 January.
