Listening, Engaging, Protecting – Safety Patrols at Sevenoaks Station |
Last night, officers from the Neighbourhood Task Force attended Sevenoaks Train Station as part of Project Vigilant, a proactive policing initiative aimed at tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) risks during the festive season. Officers engaged with women and girls, conducting surveys to understand how police can make them feel safer in public spaces.
PC Nick Hubbard said: “We had some really meaningful engagement at the station. Women and girls shared honest and constructive feedback that will help us create safer spaces. The response was incredibly positive, with many thanking us for being visible and proactive. It was great to provide free personal safety alarms and anti-drink spiking kits as part of our commitment to prevention, reassurance and protecting our local community.” | ||
