Dear Resident, At the start of this set on Friday this Ford Focus was seized as it was showing SORN and had been left at the location. The vehicle was attended as part of a diary appointment by one of our PCSOs. The vehicle had been reported as abandoned showing no MOT or insurance. The vehicle was also showing as SORN on the government website and should not have been parked on the public highway. The vehicle was taken away by our recovery agent.

On Sunday one of our officers was driving along when a vehicle was driven in a dangerous manner right in front of him. The officers stopped the vehicle to speak to the occupant. After conducting checks on the Police national computer for the vehicle it showed that the vehicle had no insurance. The vehicle was promptly seized from the driver. ![]() Officers seized two vehicles on Monday. This Toyota was stopped by officers and checks on the driver showed they were a provisional license holder only. They were driving the vehicle without supervision. The car was recovered.
This Audi was seized for no insurance after the driver left the vehicle running at the side of the road. When he returned to the vehicle and went to drive off officers stopped them to have a word. Checks on PNC showed the driver was a provisional license holder and did not have the correct insurance. The vehicle was seized.
Two of our officers on plain clothes patrols on Tuesday around locations known for vehicle crime and other offences came across a vehicle containing two males. The officers had cause to stop and search the 2 persons and the vehicle and found a quantity of cannabis and suspected class A drugs. The two males were arrested for possession with intent to supply.
On Wednesday two of our officers took part in Operation Limit. Op Limit is the UK's national, Christmas-time police campaign cracking down on drink and drug driving, involving roadside checks, breathalysers, and drug wipes, alongside targeting other "Fatal Four" offenses like speeding, seatbelt use, and phone use, aiming to prevent road deaths and serious injuries during the festive season. It's a collaborative effort by all UK forces from December 1st to January 1st, focusing on education, awareness, and enforcement to keep roads safe.
