Marks & Spencers, Gallions Road Charlton Carbon Monoxide Leak

Dear resident,

There has been a suspected carbon monoxide leak in the retail park in Charlton.

There’s no indication of any criminality, London Fire Brigade and police are at the scene.

43 staff impacted (8 overnight and 35 during the day), no members of public were effected as the leak was noticed before the store opened.

Of the injured parties 6 have been taken to hospital for tests (blood gas tests) but none of their conditions are believed to be life threatening or life changing.   Police looking to pull away shortly, M&S likely to be closed for a couple of days whilst the cause of the leak is established and rectified.
