Local Priorities Drug dealing/ drug use Message

I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Over the two nights of 12th and 13th December 2025, officers from Mill Hill Safer Neighbourhood Team alongside our colleagues from Edgwarebury Safer Neighbourhood Team, have conducted proactive patrols targeting drug use in the area. Over the two days, patrols were conducting in the evenings where a number of people were stopped by police with a few being found in possession of drugs and processed for these offences accordingly.

Following concerns from members of public regarding drug use in Mill Hill Park, we have managed to seize and process an adult female for possession of cannabis and have increased patrols in the park during the darker hours of the day.

Officers have also detained an adult male in Mill Hill Industrial Estate who was found smoking cannabis in whilst in charge of a motor vehicle. The male was arrested and will no longer pose a great risk of harm for other road users.

We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.
