Witness and dashcam appeal following serious collision in Poole |

Officers are appealing for witnesses or motorists with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a serious injury road traffic collision in Poole.
Dorset Police received a report at 11.22pm on Monday 15 December 2025 of a two-vehicle collision in Canford Heath Road, near to the junction with Plantation Road, involving a black Ford Ranger and a silver Volkswagen Golf.
Emergency services attended and road closures were put in place as they responded.
A passenger from the Golf, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be life-threatening. His next of kin is aware.
The driver of the Golf, a man aged in his 30s, was also taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be serious. He has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences.
The driver of the Ford, a man aged in his 40s from Poole, was also arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He remains in police custody at this time.
Road closures remain in place as enquiries are carried out including a detailed examination of the collision scene. These are likely to remain in place into the morning of Tuesday 16 December 2025.
Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident to establish the full circumstances of the collision.
“I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, as well as any motorists who may have captured relevant dashcam footage, to please make contact with us.
“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures, which are likely to remain in place during the morning rush hour on Tuesday 16 December 2025.
“These closures are necessary to allow the emergency services to respond and for a thorough examination of the collision scene to be conducted.”
