Positive ActionHello Resident
As a result of our Winter of Action high visibility patrols, several people have been arrested for theft offences across the area.
In the lead up to Christmas, shops will often see an increase in shoplifting. 8 people have been arrested for shoplifting offences this far, 2 of which will now spend the remainder of the festive season in prison. A 57-year-old man arrested after been seen shoplifting by officers carrying out plain clothes patrols. He has been charged with several shoplifting offences and is due to appear in court on 30/12/2025.
3 men have been arrested for auto crime offences following reports of stolen vehicles. 2 22-year-old men arrested for theft of a motor vehicle after a stolen vehicle was sighted by officers in Wordsworth Avenue. Following searches, both males were further arrested for drug offences.
