Local Priorities Drug dealing/ drug use Message

I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

On Saturday officers from Safer Transport were on foot patrol on Camden High Street/Camden when they saw a male chatting to what looked like tourists, one of them handed him some notes. He walked back across the road and an exchange took place with a second male, both were detained searched under the misuse of drugs act. One of them had 20 small bags of herbal cannabis in his bag, the other had two bags of cannabis and a lot of cash.

Both were arrested and subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.
