Stop & Search leads to arrests and 17 year old boy charged and remanded to court with possessing an imitation firearm

A recent stop and search by patrolling officers from your local response team lead to the arrest of 3 boys for possession of an offensive weapon and firearm.

On 21 November, officers stopped the group and grounds were established to complete stop and searches on them which resulted in the seizure of a baseball bat and firearm. All 3 were arrested. The firearm has since been confirmed as an imitation. 

A 17- year- old boy was charged and remanded to court with possessing an imitation firearm in a public place and common assault on an emergency worker. His is due to re-appear at court in February 2026.
