Operation Limit, Christmas Drink Drive campaign - 14/12/25

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road Safety Issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

On Sunday 14th December, officers from Pyle NPT - T1 carried out a joint operation with Western RPU - T1 in relation to Op Limit, the Christmas Drink Drive campaign.

As a result of the operation :

- 4 Vehicles were seized for No insurance with the 4 drivers reported to court
- 1 Vehicle was seized for being Unroadworthy
- 20-30 roadside breath tests were carried out with 0 failures
- 1 roadside Drugswipe was carried out, which the driver passed
- Several speed Scoping exercises were carried out in and around Cefn Cribwr & Kenfig Hill with 0 offenders
- 4 Intelligence reports were gained from the event and have since been submitted accordingly
- High visibility patrols were carried out around the villages of Pyle, Cornelly & Kenfig Hill in an effort to combat motorcycle annoyance, with 0 offenders detected.

We would like to thank the motorists who were stopped, for their patience and cooperation in complying with providing breath tests.’’
