Dear Resident
What has happened? Between 1.45am, and 2.10am on Tuesday the 10th of December 2025 unknown offenders have gained access to the rear of a property in Richmond Road, Sutton Coldfield. Once at the rear the offender(s) have tried the handles of a the rear glass doors to attempt to gain entry. At this point the motion activated the garden lights, then the occupiers dog began to bark loudly. This caused the offender(s) to give up their attempt and make good their escape. What are we doing? Officers have conducted house to house and CCTV enquires. What can you do? Please ensure all access points to your property are secure. Lock back gates and check fences are secure. Consider anti climbing measures such as Anti climb paint , or Prickle strip fitted to the top of fences and gates. These are available from various DIY and of security shops as well as online. If used always follow all instructions and ensure the included warning signs are displayed. For more crime prevention advice please visit www.westmidlands.police.uk |
