Brockwell Park Male Arrested

Dear Residents,

We are aware of recent concerns raised by residents in the Rush Common area, particularly around Brockwell Park, regarding reports of intimidating behaviour.

On a recent occasion a resident informed us of an incident where police responded to a report of a male chasing a woman with a child. Officers attended promptly; however, the suspect had left the area prior to their arrival.

Four days ago, on 9th December, officers received further reports of the same individual chasing women while in possession of a weapon. The suspect was located and arrested. He is known to have a history of violence against women and is currently subject to conditions prohibiting him from entering Lambeth. The investigation is ongoing, and the officers in charge of the case will be progressing it accordingly.

We hope this provides reassurance—particularly to women using Brockwell Park—that swift action has been taken, and we remain committed to keeping the area safe for all residents.
