Monthly Community Update from Sgt Wilson – December 2025

Hello everyone,

It’s that time of the month where I would like to share an update on my team’s activities:

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas include:

Speeding across all wards

Theft from new build developments

Retail thefts

We have conducted speed watches in various locations. Unfortunately, with winter bringing poorer weather conditions, we are less likely to be able to do these as often. However, we will continue to plan these in.

We are continuing to patrol new build development sites and work is ongoing to identify offenders.

The team have convicted an offender for 16 theft offences at one store. The court agreed to grant a community behaviour order which prohibits the offender from attending the store for 3 years! He has not been back since which is good news for the store.

Other updates:

The team came across a suspect who was stocked up with stolen chocolate which he was trying to sell to a shop. He was arrested and remanded to court.

The team have been conducting stop searches in ASB areas which has led to drugs being seized.

Several cars have been seized due to not having the correct documentation.

The team have been assisting Coventry city centre and Birmingham with operations.

They have arrested suspects who have been wanted on a recall to prison.
