Section 35 Dispersal in place over the weekend

Good Evening,

Police are aware of ongoing issues with Nuisance Vehicles across the West End and St James Wards. There has been issues of vehicles driving poorly and generating excessive noise as well as larger vehicle meets. 

A Section 35 Dispersal Order has been authorised over this weekend, by Inspector Tony Beasley. The period specified above is from 1900 hours on Friday 12th December to 0700 Sunday 14th December. This gives Officers additional powers to direct people and vehicles to leave the area if they are likely to cause Anti Social Behaviour. 

There will be an enhanced Police presence in Soho on Friday and Saturday night where there has been a particular issue with large groups of motorbikes attending, causing Anti Social Behaviour. Local officers from the West End Policing Team and Town Centre Team will be working with Parking Enforcement officers from the Council to tackle this issue.

Other long term problem solving options are also being actioned by Police and Westminster Council on this issue
