An individual was arrested for theft from a shop in Hailsham.
3 arrests were made for assault in Crowborough, East Dean and Hailsham.
We arrested someone for criminal damage in Hailsham. Op Limit drink/drug driving week one results 5 people have been arrested in the first week of our Christmas crackdown on drink and drug-drivers. (1-7 December)
We’re extremely disappointed that people continue to risk the lives of themselves and others by making the conscious decision to drive under the influence.
During the coming weeks we continue to intensify our patrols to make our roads safer, and will robustly deal with drink and drug-drivers.
Those caught and convicted can expect to see their name on our website and in the media in the new year.
Think you won’t get caught? Think again.

On Monday 1st, the pair visited two retirement developments to make the residents aware of the latest scams that are doing the rounds.
Tuesday 2nd saw them visiting a victim of a burglary and a victim of a fraud. They also attended the Small Business Networking Group in Uckfield, giving local businesses the chance to meet their PCSO and raise any concerns.
Wednesday 3rd was largely dedicated to foot patrol around various towns across the district, including Crowborough from 15:00-17:00 and Hailsham from 18:30-21:00.
On Thursday 4th, they attended The Maresfield Community Group Christmas Lunch, chatting to all the locals and sharing crime prevention advice. PCSO Jackson also attended the Carol Concert at All Saints Church in Crowborough – another great opportunity to engage with the community.
Friday 5th saw PCSO Choppin attending the late-night Christmas shopping in Uckfield. Despite the weather being wet, it was a very good turnout with lots of people around. Many were pleased to see us, with plenty of valuable conversations had!
On Tuesday 9th, the pair attended Hurstwood View Care Home in Uckfield after being invited to celebrate the wonderful volunteers that give their time to support the community.
Yesterday, the 10th, found both PCSOs out on foot patrol across the north of Wealden. The patrols involved lots of positive interactions with shops, businesses and members of public.
