Don't be Anti-Social this Christmas |
||
|
Police are reminding people to think of others this Christmas and to take care that their behaviour is not classed as anti-social.
Anti-social behaviour (ASB) covers a wide range of unacceptable activity that blights the lives of many people on a daily basis. It often leaves victims feeling helpless, desperate and with a seriously reduced quality of life.
ASB is defined as behaviour by a person which causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household as the person.
One of the major causes of anti-social behaviour at this time of year is people not knowing their limits when it comes to drinking, we don't want to spoil people's enjoyment at this time of year, all we ask that revellers consider the effects that excessive drinking can have on themselves and others so please know your limits and drink sensibly. Alcohol can make people behave in ways that they never normally would.
Also be mindful of excessive noise and partying. Some people would prefer to enjoy their Christmas in peace and quiet, so remember your neighbours and think of others.
