Officers are appealing for information after a pedestrian was reportedly injured in a collision with a cyclist in Bridlington on Tuesday, 11 November 2025. It is reported between 5pm and 5.30pm, a man was walking on Bessingby Railway Bridge on Bessingby Road before he was allegedly involved in a collision with a cyclist. The cyclist did not stop at the scene and the pedestrian, a 53-year-old man, was taken to hospital to receive treatment to serious injuries. Since the incident was reported, officers have carried out extensive enquiries to establish the circumstances. This has included reviewing CCTV footage, speaking to witnesses, and following up on all available lines of enquiry. Despite these efforts, officers have not yet been able to identify the cyclist and are appealing to anyone that may been in the area around the time and may have witnessed the collision, or has any CCTV or dashcam footage, to get in touch via our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 334 of 11 November 2025. Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
