Community Update: Planned Events on Saturday 13th December 2025

We are aware of community concerns regarding several planned events in Westminster this Saturday. Here’s what you need to know:

Unite the Kingdom Rally

Location: Whitehall
Format: Static demonstration (no march or procession)
Expected attendance: Around 5,000 people

Other Demonstrations

Stand Up to Racism
Anti-Digital ID Group
Both will also take place in Westminster.

The command team will be managing three separate protests throughout the day in Whitehall. Plans are in place to keep protestors apart and ensure all demonstrations are managed appropriately and proportionately.

South Bank & Waterloo

The Silver Commander has confirmed there will be a policing presence south of the River Thames, with both Waterloo and the South Bank receiving appropriate attention and being managed in line with developments on the day.

Local Policing

From a BCU perspective:

Local officers will not be deployed on aid and have been ring-fenced to remain in local areas, engaging with residents and businesses.

They will provide updates on events in Whitehall as needed.

We will continue to share information with local communities via Met Engage should any significant developments occur.

A local neighbourhood sergeant will lead community engagement on the day, and I will be available to assist the local team if required.
