No Insurance Seizure

On Wednesday 10th December while on routine patrol the team stopped and seized a moped for no insurance.  The rider showed us a screenshot of his policy on his phone but couldn't log into his online account…  Because he doesn't have one!  

Our Police National Computer (PNC) showed the moped as not being insured.  There can be a slight delay with insurance companies and PNC being synced.  However our rider was supposed to be insured from August 2025, which is three months ago.  There would not be such a long time period of PNC not being updated.  

He resigned himself to the fact that he had been rumbled.  He was issued a Traffic Offence report for driving with no insurance.
