Speed Surveys

Road safety concerns, in particular speeding, are consistently raised by our local communities.

Residents in Llanymynech & Pant haven been in touch with our Community Speedwatch team, asking to set up a local Speedwatch group. We in turn will look in to the suitability to their locations for speed enforcement.

We have been on Station Road Llanymynech this morning and have conducted two speed surveys with the ‘Your Speed’ board. The good news is that the average speed recorded was 25.99. There was other useful data gathered, which we will be looking in to.

Our findings will be passed on the The CSW team and also the parish council.

Speeding can have a devastating impact on the safety of road users, increasing the risk of a collision and the severity of the consequences.
