Operation North Star

Operation North Star is now underway across Greater Manchester. This seasonal initiative focuses on keeping communities safe during the festive period. Our priorities include tackling retail crime, burglary, vehicle theft, anti-social behaviour, drink and drug driving, domestic abuse, and online fraud. You will see increased patrols in busy areas and targeted enforcement where needed.

We encourage everyone to take simple steps to stay safe: secure your home and vehicle, keep valuables out of sight, and be cautious when shopping online. 

Free crime prevention tools such as Faraday pouches and UV pens are available at our local engagement events.
