Burglary Near You - Longacre Lane, Cross Roads BD22

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Longacre Lane, Cross Roads. This occurred  sometime between 3am and 3.20am on 10/12/2025. The method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. The unidentified suspect/s made a search of the downstairs rooms and located the keys to the victim/s white 21 plate VW Golf. The suspect/s also located a handbag and made off with the contents and the car. 

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between (please add times if known) to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
