SNT update - arrests made

The team have been very busy over the last week, resulting in two arrests.

On Friday 5th December, officers were on plain clothes patrols when they noticed a known local offender on Curtismill Way. They have searched for and detained the offender for a drugs search. A lock knife was found on them, as well as a large quantity of cash. A further search was conducted by a drugs dog, and a large bag of cocaine was found nearby.
The offender was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

On Saturday 6th December, local officers were conducting a welfare visit for a local resident. There was a known offender there, and officers have removed them from the address. When the officers attempted to conduct a search, the offender has kicked out at two PCSO's, and they were quickly restrained by the officers on scene.
The offender was arrested for assault on an emergency worker x2 and possession of Class A drugs.
