Welcome to this month’s Redbridge Neighbourhood Policing Newsletter.

I’m Acting Chief Inspector Dave Holgate, responsible for Neighbourhood Policing in Redbridge. My commitment remains clear: reducing crime, tackling anti-social behaviour, and building trust with our communities.

NMFL Event – A Positive Step Forward

This month, we proudly hosted the New Met for London2 (NMFL2) event at Redbridge Town Hall.

The event brought together:

Partner agencies

Community leaders

Faith representatives

Local residents

The focus was on crime reduction and sharing the positive work happening across the borough.

Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Attendees praised the collaborative approach and welcomed updates on progress. This event showcased how partnership working delivers real results for our communities.

Positive Outcomes Across Redbridge

Recent successes include:

Crime Reduction: Targeted operations have led to a noticeable decrease in anti-social behaviour and drug-related crime.

Community Engagement: Officers have been out in neighbourhoods, listening to concerns and working with residents to find lasting solutions.

Partnership Success: Working closely with Redbridge Council and local organisations, we’re tackling issues at their root—not just responding to symptoms.

These outcomes mean safer streets and stronger communities for everyone in Redbridge.

Improve service quality for victims and the public

November Highlights

Robbery: Judicial outcomes achieved in 1 of every 11 offences

Theft from Motor Vehicle: Down by 11.9% – 1 fewer offence in every 9

Shoplifting: Judicial outcomes achieved in 1 of every 6 offences

Arrests: 40 offenders arrested by our teams in November

Stop & Search: 97 individuals stopped; 19 dealt with for offences

These figures reflect our commitment to proactive policing and community safety.

Looking Ahead

We will continue to strengthen our neighbourhood policing presence, making sure we are visible, accessible, and accountable. Together—with residents, partners, and community leaders—we can build a safer, stronger Redbridge.
