Beccles - Man in court after police pursuit

Police from two counties pursued a car though north Suffolk and south Norfolk after the driver accelerated away from two officers in Beccles on Sunday 7th December.

After the pursuit, which began in Beccles town centre at 10.50am, officers deployed a stinger in Carlton Colville and arrested the driver.

Subsequently, a 40-year-old man appeared before Great Yarmouth Magistrates on Monday 8th December, charged with various motoring offences:

•         Driving while disqualified;

•         Dangerous driving;

•         Failure to stop;

•         Driving with no insurance.

Kris Parker, of Mutfordwood Lane, Mutford, was remanded in custody and will appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on 24th December.
