🌟 Neighbourhood Policing Weekly Round-Up 🌟

Here’s a look at what your local officers have been up to across Caerphilly Central and the wider area this week:

🚔 Op Titanium

Officers conducted night-time economy patrols throughout Caerphilly Central, offering reassurance to the public and distributing safety merchandise as part of our ongoing work to tackle violence against women and girls. Your safety remains our priority.

🚚 Op Aluminium

Targeted checks were carried out on the B4521 to identify vehicles operating overweight. One driver received a formal warning. These checks help maintain road safety for everyone.

💡 Op Flash

Whilst on patrol, officers located and detained a male for possession with intent to supply. He was arrested and later released under investigation as enquiries continue. Great proactive work by the team.

⚡ Op Circuit

Eagle-eyed officers spotted an electric motorbike being ridden dangerously through Blackwood town. Thanks to excellent local knowledge, both the bike and the offender were quickly located. The bike has been seized.

As part of this operation, we are also focusing on community education. This week, Ty Sign Primary received an input highlighting the differences between legal and illegal e-bike and e-scooter use to help keep young people safe.
