Incident Over Weekend: Fernbank Avenue, Hornchurch |

Police were called at around 23:15hrs on Saturday, 6 December to reports of a stabbing in Fernbank Avenue, Hornchurch.
Officers attended the incident alongside the London Ambulance Service where a 16-year-old boy was found with injuries consistent with a stab wound. He was taken to hospital where his injuries were confirmed to be non-life-threatening or life-changing.
Officers also assisted the LAS in relation to a medical incident, which at this time is not believed to be linked to the stabbing. Concerns have been reported locally that the incidents may be linked to the use of dangerous or contaminated drugs. There is no evidence at this stage to suggest there was any drug involvement. Officers are speaking to other parties involved in the incident and at this stage have not established any further drug links associated to the incident.
An investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made. An increased police presence can be expected in the area.
