Good evening Forest Gate, Firstly a huge welcome to our new members. The team will try to provide a weekly update on the good work we are carrying out across the ward. Proactive patrols, including some plain clothes patrolling, have taken place around areas highlighted by residents. Our officers visited Chestnut Nursery to meet the preschool aged children and teach them about the police, what we look like and calling 999 in an emergency. The team held a joint meeting with Newham Council and local residents regarding anti-social behaviour concerns around Woodgrange Road E7 and positive steps are being taken to rectify the issues raised. Two individuals were arrested for breaching their Community Protection Notices regarding their drug use on Romford Road E7 and surrounding areas. One of the individuals is a repeat offender and as such the team are applying for a Criminal Behaviour Order in court.Today officers attended Odessa Road park and a male was arrested for Possession of an Offensive Weapon in a public place. Please feel free to contact the team directly if you have any concerns or questions. Take care, Forest Gate South Safer Neighbourhoods Team |
