Dear Resident
Our Neighbourhood Policing Team are currently developing the Safer Route Project in partnership with the Community Safety Unit at Stevenage Borough Council. The project aims to maximise feelings of safety for people walking from the Old Town pubs, bars and restaurants or places of work/education to key transport hubs - the train station and bus interchange. We plan to have a well -lit route from the Old Town to transport hubs, supported by CCTV and SOS help points, enhancing confidence and security for everyone, especially women and girls. We would value your staff, pupils and parents views and help in creating our Safer Route for all those that live, work and visit Stevenage.
