Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team |

Dear Residents
An update from your local Sherbourne Police Team.
STREETWATCH
We add this information to the message service each week, however, we are now actively looking for Street watch volunteers who would like to join us in a regular patrol of your community. The patrol can be for as long as you are available for on a day of your choosing and is a proactive way of noticing things that need attention where you live. It is also a good way of meeting other residents that want to make a difference in their communities.
GET INVOLVED Street watch is a community patrol initiative that helps you make a difference where you live. Street watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe, including just walking round your neighbourhood, which can really help. Local police keep in regular contact with street watch members to share information and work in partnership with you. You will also be patrolling with your local PCSO’s once a month.

WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING
You may have seen in local news that after 26 years West Midlands Police now have a mounted section back in action. Police officers and their horses have been out patrolling the city centre and making quite an impact in the local community. The horses will be used for football events or events where there is a high volume of the general public. Great to see the horses back and patrolling our communities.
Project Servator officers have been out working with local businesses and members of the public to disrupt criminal activity and suspicious behaviour. If you see officers out on patrol please speak to them if you have any concerns or want to report any kind of suspicious behaviour.
Please be careful of your parcels that are left on your door steps. We are seeing an increase in theft of parcels after they have been delivered. Always try and have a safe place that they can be left in.
CRIME UPDATE
A burglary has been reported in Four Pounds Avenue. Offenders entered the property from the rear and stole items after a search.
A burglary in Woodclose Avenue reported. Offenders snapped the lock off the back door, stole 2 sets of car keys and made off in one vehicle.
Reports of registration plate theft in Max Road and Beaumont Close. If you experience this type of crime please make your insurance company aware.
Reports of vehicles stolen in Chelveston Road and Hollyfast lane. Both stolen by unknown means.
Regards
