Weekly update from Washwood Heath neighbourhood policing team. 

Dear Members, 

Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the Washwood Heath Neighbourhood policing team. 

What’s been happening   

We have conducted an “all out day” in Alum Rock Road seized a lot of vehicles for being untaxed and clamped vehicles ,issued parking tickets and stopped and search vehicles in the area.  Officers attended CMI/Go-Woman Alliance delivered a personal safety awareness session sharing vital information. Attended Nansen Primary School. Shown reception the van and spoke about stranger danger to keep them away from danger.

Worked alongside NSL and DVLA targeting untaxed vehicles

2 x vehicles clamped on Bowyer Road

2 x vehicles clamped on Bridge Road

4 x vehicles clamped on Parkfield Road

1 x vehicle clamped on Clodeshall Road

1 x vehicle clamped on Hartopp Road

1 x vehicle clamped on College Road 

2 x vehicles clamped on Edmund Road

3 x vehicles clamped on Reginald Road

143 vehicles to receive out of court settlement letter from DVLA

Worked alongside Special Constable and Guardian Task Force
2 drivers reported for no insurance and their vehicles seized
3 vehicles seized for no tax
1 driver issued a Section 59 notice due to driving his vehicle in an anti-social manner
18 vehicles ticketed for parking offences 

Worked alongside Roads Policing/traffic
1 arrest for Possession with Intent to Supply Class A + B (PWITS) and driving unfit through drink/drugs. Vehicle seized
