I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. Dear Residents,
Officers from Abbey and Northbury Ward Safer Neighbourhood Team will be conducting foot patrols partnered with LBBD Council Enforcement Officers in the area of Barking Town Centre as part of Day 12 of our 16-day initiative to increase awareness and safety around Violence Against Women And Girls (VAWG) from 1400 hours. Officers will be visible and will cover the hotspot areas within Barking Town Centre, and will be free to take any suggestions, concerns or issues anybody may have to share. Lets make this town that much safer to live and work in!
