Harold Hill Shoplifter Handed Custodial Sentence

A man appeared at Barkingside Magistrates Court on 4 December where he was handed a 16 week prison sentence. 

Jake Skinner (32) was identified for a number of thefts at a food outlet on Farnham Road, Harold Hill. He had previously been issued a restraining order, banning him from attending the venue from a previous spate of offences.

A/Chief Inspector Routley said

“Retail crime is a priority for us here in Havering. Every offence against a business or its staff is treated seriously and the sentence handed down to Mr Skinner will be very much welcomed by those retail staff who have been plagued by his continued and brazen offending. Retail workers deserve to feel safe at work, and we are committed to holding offenders accountable for their actions”
