Tool Theft Alert – Bracknell Area

We are investigating a series of tool thefts from vans in the Bracknell area and want to help you keep your property safe. Thieves often target vans for the valuable tools stored inside, and it can take less than 30 seconds to break in.

Protect your tools and reduce the risk of theft:

Mark your tools clearly with your name or company details using paint pens and seal with clear lacquer. This makes them harder to sell on.

Use lockable cabinets inside your van and consider installing small cameras designed for vehicles.

Record and register your tools: Take photos, note serial numbers, and register them online at a property register site.

Park smart: Choose well-lit, busy areas or car parks with a Park Mark Safer Parking Award.

Remove documents: Never leave registration or insurance documents in your vehicle.
