Good evening everyone. Here is your local update for what is happening in Olton. Crime Update: There has been a theft from motor vehicle on Dorsington Road. During the early hours of November the 30th unknown offenders have stolen the registration plates from a Ford Fiesta parked outside the victims address. During daylight hours on the 3rd of December a Grey Ford Fiesta was stolen by unknown means from Olton Railway Station. CCTV checks are ongoing but we encourage anyone who may have been in the area at the between 06:00 and 17:00 and has seen anything suspicious at the train station carpark to please call 101 to assist with enquires. Good News: The team have made a number of arrests this week including two high risk domestic violence suspects who were put behind the door of a cell to safeguard vulnerable victims of crime.
For the first time in 26 years West Midlands Midlands Police were a deployable a mounted unit. Two of our horses took to the streets in Solihull on patrol and to engage with residents who took the time to stop and chat.
The Solihull Local Policing Area has seen an all-out day of action where we drafted in extra support to fill up our cells with the most wanted in the area. Inspector Mark Heard, from Solihull Police, said: "We currently have 10 in custody for a number of offences. "We are continuing our action throughout the day, and we are making it clear that anyone committing crimes will be dealt with. "The enforcement does not stop today. We are actively pursuing offenders everyday and will continue to do so." Our team were happy to take part and help secure some positive results.
Please have a safe weekend and we will be in touch again soon.
