How to check your banknotes
Fake notes are an issue that springs up from time to time, and with jolly ol' Saint Nick on his way, more and more fake notes are making their way out the woodwork and into the hands of hardworking members of the public.
Most stores now, especially big retailers, will train their staff on what to look out for and what to do if they did come across a fake note. However this can be tough during the busy period when the queue is building up!
To help everyone, the Bank of England have put together a comprehensive "How to check your banknotes" guide that is available for free online (link provided below). Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team will also be delivering several copies to stores in the local area to help staff be able to pick out monopoly notes over the real deal!
