Prolific Offender is Issued CBO |

Dear resident,
A Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) has been issued to a prolific offender following recent legal proceedings, due to his persistent pattern of criminal activity within the community. The offences have included shoplifting, theft from motor vehicles and theft of pedal bikes. These actions have had a notable impact on the local community. The CBO will run for 5 years and contains multiple conditions, which means the offender must not, in any public place in England or Wales: Enter any retail or commercial premises in England and Wales from which he has been formally banned. Remain in any retail or commercial premises in England and Wales having been asked to leave by a member of staff or security guard. Enter the private areas of any retail or commercial premises in England and Wales without the permission of a member of staff or security guard. Be in possession of any cards, wallet or property that is clearly in the name of another person in any public place in England and Wales, without valid proof of purchase or ownership. Be in possession of any tools or equipment intended for use in the theft of goods (e.g. cutters or tag removers) or bags adapted for use in theft (not including shop bought foil-lined bags). Be on any private property (driveways, gardens, etc) without express permission of the owner/lawful occupier. Touch or enter any Motor vehicle (cars, motorbikes, mopeds-scooters, e-bikes and pedal bikes) without express permission of the owner. (Exception as a passenger in a public service vehicle or registered taxi where rite of passage is expected). Any breach of the CBO is a criminal offence and will result in further legal action, including possible imprisonment.
