Local Priorities Drug dealing/ drug use Update

I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

The past few weeks as the nights have become darker earlier, officers from Waddon SNT have been patrolling local points of interest in relation to drug dealing near Wandle Park, including alleyways near Benson Road. Officers stopped multiple people and dealt with them appropriately, engaging with young people regarding drug use and anti - social behaviour.

On one occasion officers stopped a person who they believe are dealing drugs in the local communities. This person was found in possession of multiple bags of cannabis and a quantity of cash. The person was arrested for possession with intent to supply - class B drugs.

We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.
