Welcome again to our growing Derbyshire Alert users.

Rural issues does matter and therefore to make you all aware of Hare Coursing occurring around Walton-on-Trent area.

Recently a dead hare has been found on private land.

Despite this being illegal under the Hunting Act 2004, Hare coursing still takes place throughout the UK.

In Hare Coursing, dogs, such as greyhounds, whippets, are set upon the hares.

The hares are savagely attacked once the dogs have been encouraged to chase.
