Yesterday officers from Nine Elms ward SNT assisted colleagues from across Battersea in carrying out a raid on a local property. PCs from Lavender Hill Police Station had been granted a search warrant by a magistrate and this was executed at 5am on Tuesday. Some suspected class A drugs were found and one 26 year old man arrested. During the search of the premises we also found and seized some cash. This is not unusual, and sometimes we find large quantities of money but on this occasion is was just over £2200. What made this find a bit out of the ordinary was that it was all in coins! Hundreds of 5, 10, 20 and 50 pence pieces and £1 and £2 coins. Back at the Police Station this took some careful counting and a bit of heavy lifting!
