Traffic Operation Results – Halifax Road, 23rd November

On 23rd November, officers conducted a traffic operation on Halifax Road as part of our ongoing commitment to improving road safety and reducing harm on our roads. The operation, which lasted 1.5 hours, yielded the following results:

22 vehicles stopped.

3 arrests: 2 for drink driving and 1 for drug driving.

7 Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) issued for various traffic offences.

3 vehicles recovered under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 for no licence and/or no insurance.

2 individuals reported for summons to court.

15 out of 22 individuals were reported for various offences.

This operation supports the principles of Vision Zero, which aims to eliminate all traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries. By addressing dangerous driving behaviours and ensuring compliance with road safety laws, we are working towards creating safer roads for everyone.
