Fordbridge newsletter
Good morning, residents. I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season as we approach Christmas, and I hope you are continuing to stay vigilant when you are out and about. The team have been extremely busy this set as we continue to monitor our ASB hotspots, such as the bus interchange, the town centre, and our surrounding park areas. We are also continually patrolling Fordbridge to provide reassurance to our community, and to keep you all safe.
Officers have constantly been on the interchange seeing as we are approaching Christmas where we expect it to be busier, reminding youths of the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) and have constantly been educating youths about this to deter and prevent Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) from taking place. This set, out officers have placed a male under arrest for stalking, who has now been remanded in custody to safeguard the victims. This is a fantastic result based on the hard work our team does day in and day out to protect the residents of Fordbridge and surrounding communities. This male was causing a constant burden on residents in Fordbridge – we are very pleased to have had this successful result.
We have also had a prolific shoplifter placed under arrest during this set – this person has been causing harm to our local businesses, and it is a fantastic result having them placed under arrest. The offender is currently assisting with our enquiries.

Can you help? We are still looking for volunteers to help with Community Speed Watch. Whilst monitoring our local roads and collating data over the last 4 – 6 weeks, I would say Cooks Lane is particularly in need of regular speed monitoring. Is this something you would like to join in with? Are you a resident on Cooks Lane or surrounding roads and would like to help us tackle this concern? If the answer is YES, drop me a reply to this message. We are also looking for street-watch volunteers to join us for Fordbridge – if you are interested, and are a resident of Fordbridge or surrounding areas, please get into contact with me by dropping a reply to this message.
