Dear Resident, Myself and PCSO Khan will be attending a free fraud and cybercrime advice session hosted by Alan Mordey and Chen TSUI from the Herts Police Serious Fraud & Cyber Unit.
The event is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday 3rd December and will run between 10.30am and 3.30pm. These sessions are free and provide practical tips for avoiding the most common types of fraud and cybercrime. Free tea and biscuits are also provided. The fraud and cyber team will be doing a talk and will joined by officers from the Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) Trading Standards and Fraud teams to answer questions and provide crime prevention advice throughout the event. The Herts Beacon Victim Care Fraud Hub team will also deliver a presentation.
11:00am-noon - Scams & Victim Support Beacon/Victim Care 12:15-1:15pm - Rogue Traders & Scams Trading Standards 1:30-1:45pm - Fraud against the Council HCC SAFS 2:00-3:00pm - Cybercrime & Fraud Prevention Herts Police The session is part of a series of events that the team are running around the county.
