MAN ISSUED ANIMAL BAN

A man has been disqualified from owning and keeping animals for five years after admitting being the person in charge of a dog that bit a woman in Tamworth last year.

Kieron Nickless, aged 25, formerly of Tamworth, now of Handsworth, Birmingham, was handed the ban on Tuesday (25 November) by magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre. 

The court heard how he had been with the dog, a white German shepherd, at a property near Wigginton Park in Tamworth, when the animal bit the victim on the hand.
