Witnesses are being sought after a teenage boy was threatened with a knife and robbed in Regent Street, Kettering. The incident occurred between 12.35am and 1am on Friday, November 7, as the boy pushed his bike in the direction of Avondale Road, when a black SUV-type vehicle pulled up alongside him. One of the offenders took the teenager’s electric bike and walked off, while a second suspect, who had a knife, chased him along the street and demanded he handed over his mobile phone and headphones. The first offender was a young white adult male, about 6ft and had a distinctive birth mark or blemish on his face. He was wearing a puffer coat, black joggers and a black balaclava The second offender was a white man, about 20 years old, 5ft 6in and of a slim build. He was wearing a blue Nike tracksuit with white stripes and the word Nike repeated down the sides and a black balaclava. Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have captured the incident on CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage, between the relevant times.
