Stevenage Safer Route Consultation: Your Opinion Matters |

Dear Resident
The Safer Route project is being developed by Hertfordshire Constabulary Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Community Safety Unit at Stevenage Borough Council. It aims to maximise feelings of safety for people walking from the Old Town pubs, bars and restaurants or place of work/education to key public transport hubs (Train Station, Bus Interchange). To do this we plan to have a well-lit route from the Old Town to transport hubs, supported by CCTV and SOS help points—enhancing confidence and security for everyone, especially women and girls. Similar projects have successfully been launched in other police areas including Northampton and Milton Keynes. We would value your opinion and help in creating our Safer Route for all those who live, work and visit Stevenage by completing the short survey below.
