Hi all, The new Neighbourhoods model is live across the Metropolitan Police today across all 12 Basic Command Units (BCUs) this week. What has changed for your teams? Town Centre and Ward teams now deliver Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), Problem-Solving and local communications and engagement activities.A new Specialist Community Liaison team has been established on each BCU, made up of Specialist Community Liaison Sergeants, LGBT+ Community Liaison Officers, VPC Coordinators. From today, Ward teams (DWOs, DWO-CYPs and PCSOs) have started their new shift patterns that aim to increase policing presence during School Journeys. Bexley NPT will now be providing coverage between 1800 to 0300 every Friday and Saturday night. During these shifts officers will target ASB, retail crime, violent crime and violence against Women and Girls in our town centres and areas of high footfall. The changes have been implemented to allow us to better target the priorities of our communities. If you have any questions then please speak with your local team for more information.
